$$Money$$o.O Riches…

Everybody in this world loves money. Who doesn’t? True, wealth can buy or give you anything you want in this world, both cheap and expensive. Believe that. With money, you can buy a luxurious mansion with a gym with all the facilities you want, a big swimming pool with a jaccuzi, a lamborgini and a porshe, own many credit cards, with many servants waiting on you. However, are you able to buy over kinship, friendship or love? Sadly, you can’t. So, so what if you have the money? Money may be able to fill you with materialistic desires, give you an abundance of valuable material possessions or resources but it will not neccessarily bring you happiness and joy.

People living in poverty may be living each day happier than those living among wealth and riches. Although they may be living with an empty stomach each day, however they may be satisfied just having their family and friends by their side, satisfied knowing that they are being loved, satisfied knowing that at least someone out there still cares for them and that there is someone out there at this moment who needs more help and sympathy than they themselves. On the other hand, those wealthy people can be arrogant and they snub, scorn, despise ”lower class” people, treating and looking upon them with contempt and disdain. These rich people, although they may be materialistically rich, they may not be spiritually, intellectually and culturally. Also, compared to poorer people, they might have superficial friends and family. People go close to them for their money and are not true or reliable. Eventually, one by one these false family and friends will leave them after cheating the rich people off their money.

As a result of different conditions of life, members of different social classes view the world in much different ways. This allows them to develop different conceptions of social reality, different aspirations, hopes, fears, and different conceptions of the desirable. The way different classes in society view wealth vary and these diverse characteristics are a fundamental dividing line among the classes. Inheritance establishes different starting lines. The majority of those in the upper class have inherited their wealth and place a greater emphasis on wealth than on income. Thus, they become lazier as the day goes by and the money that they spent are their accesstors hard-earned money and not what they earned. There is a distinct difference in views about wealth among the lower class compared to those of the upper class. Where the upper class beliefs focus on wealth, the lower class places a greater emphasis on income. The lower class views wealth as something for emergencies and it is seen as more of a cushion. The lower class do not spend their money unneccessarily and are more hardworking in earning their own income.

In conclusion, I feel that money is not an important asset in society today. What’s most important is kinship and friendship. A person, can’t make do in life and won’t be happy without support, love and encouragement from family and friends.

OKAY! Just this one last one and I’m done with this whole journal thing! I think that our school’s site is not well located as it is situated in the middle of nowhere. You’ll have to walk out a very long distance under the hot, scorching sun before reaching the main road and the bus stops and it is very cumbersome. How asinine! If only we could divulge some secret shortcuts out to the main roads. However, one good thing is that our school is commodious. It is replete with antiquated objects and it is china-like.             Yessssssssss!DONE!

I still have 2 more journal entries to be done including this one. I don’t like writing journals as I have to think as I write. So I will just talk about myself so that I won’t have to do much thinking as I know myself well enough of course and won’t watse my brain juice. Some parts may not be true for your information. Here it goes! I am quite an impetuous, and a little occult person. I am not quite complacent about the present and the future. I don’t get somber or be debilitated easily (that’s true..).

As a way to expedite whatever we do, we have to be vigilant, ready and prepared at all times. Then only will our celerity of doing things increase. Also, our prodigous work load will then be alleviated. However, even the most trivial matters have to be handled meticulously with care.

Today is a Saturday, 19th July. We had our East Division Day competition at Damai Sec in the morning. The milieu was quite nice. We had been propagating ideas and trying to win the competitions for the last several weeks. Our school guides had won champion for patch making competition and bronze for the t-shirt design making competition. Everyone was fervid as there were many guides and guiders from several schools in the East, and were accosted by a surfeit of excitement and enthusiasiasm. When everything was over, we reverted back to a state of lassitude.

Yesterday was a Friday, 18th July 2008. We had our CCA as usual, from 2-6pm. We had flag raising and were required to bring our full-u. However, I didn’t read the guides notice board and was one of the few who didn’t bring. There was also movie screening at the Grand Auditorium for the Sec3s which was peremptory. Fortunately, we could be excused from the movie screening as the Grand Audi is so hot and stuffy. Following up, the Sec1 and 2 guides had their physical training and I and a few other guides led them in the P.T. It was fun and exciting, mortifying them, making them do running, pumpings, frog jumps, duck walks etc. and also, shouting at them to be faster. We were jubilant that day. In guides, there is never such a thing called idyllic and proper decorum with the utmost candor was to be executed at all times.

Not only do obese people not know how to control their diet or exercise regularly, they are also indolent. There are some good examples here in Chung Cheng. They are pathetic. Their family and friends should exhort them to cut down on their weight to stay healthy and lower their chances of contracting coronary heart disease, high cholesterol level or high blood pressure. Obese people might be in a state of apathy and continue to eat alot. From time to time, a fracas may break out between the obesed and his/her family or friends.

Some people are vulnerable to slights and insults. These are the easily influenced. They are easily disgruntled and this will impede their road to success. However, sometimes, the insults made by the other person might be irrational. These type of people are insatiable unless they make such redundant comments.

There is a bewildering array of animals and plants in this world. Many of them are obsure. Thus, there are the ardent scientists who discover millions and millions of them. Also, we know that many of these plants give off a pungent smell. In the future we will, in retrospect, look up to these discoverers. (: …

After guides activities on every Friday, we will tend to feel lethargic and worn out. Thus, the acute problem is that most of us will become quite remiss and it’s inevitable that we forgot our things or stuff and leave them behind. The gist of this story is that we can be forgetful at times.
